Decent place as far as trying something new, but unfortunately everything was just thrown together and sent on its way. The smokehouse smasher is decent but super messy, Lemon pepper wings were excruciatingly salty in certain bites literally a headache on a plate. The hidden dragon sauce is top tier and the chicken tenders are real white meat and good serving, but sweet potatoes fries are lackluster. Overall the food taste Decent but as for the prices SHEESH it's not worth it especially if the quality is going to be all over the place.
Not a very big place, you can blink and miss this small eatery. This has become my go to for a chicken sandwich. I've also tried their chicken strips and I can't wait to try their chicken smash burger. I usually get their Basic Chick sandwich and it's certainly not basic to me. Don't miss out on Ma Lou's....extremely yummy.

Good, hot chicken served up fast and fresh in a nice little place in downtown Ypsilanti. Awesome greens! The baked beans were a little bit tomatey and spicy, but everything else that we had was great. Friendly service and fairly decent prices.

This little place is awesome! When I learned they had a chicken patty smash burger I had to check it out. It was amazing! My friend had the Lemon Pepper Chicken sando that was on special. He also very much enjoyed his meal. 100% will be stopping in next time I’m in town.
The chicken was juicy and had some flavor. I also tried the creamed corn and potato salad, both needed a pinch of salt. The potato salad has a lot of dill which gives it a different kick.

It's not cheap, but what you heard about Ma Lou's fried chicken sandwich is not an exaggeration. Cozy clean hole in the wall right off Michigan avenue. Seating inside or outside on the sidewalk which can be a little noisy with traffic.
